Freya Renewables Inc. Secures Two Service Operating Contracts for Isabel and Toledo Alpha Solar Power Projects

Manila, Philippines | August 6, 2024Freya Renewables Inc. is proud to announce that we have successfully secured two Service Contracts from the Department of Energy (DOE) for the Isabel Solar Power Project and the Toledo Alpha Solar Power Project. This accomplishment does not only enable us to proceed with pre-development activities and studies, it also marks a significant milestone as we continue to expand our footprint in the renewable energy sector.

The Isabel Solar Power Project, covered by Service Operating Contract No. 2024-07-915, will be located in the province of Leyte, Isabel. It is expected to have a potential capacity of 79.962 MWp and span an area of 75.599 hac. Meanwhile, the Toledo Alpha Solar Power Project, under Service Operating Contract No. 2024-07-924, will be situated in the province of Toledo, Cebu, with an estimated potential capacity of 178.008 MWp and covering approximately 197.630 hac.

The Isabel SPP will provide substantial benefits to the local community in Leyte. It will create numerous job opportunities during the construction and operational phases, and contribute to the local economy by fostering related businesses. Similarly, the Toledo Alpha SPP in Cebu will be a significant contributor to the province’s renewable energy capacity, helping to reduce reliance on non-renewable energy sources and promoting environmental sustainability.
